The art of handwriting
Prevalently of a practical nature, this course makes use of the vast, valuable collections in the Correr Museum library to examine the immense expressive potential of handwriting. The course starts with the particular shapes of chancellery handwriting in the Sixteenth century, going on to original, fascinating letters from the XVII, XVIII and XIX centuries, thus leading to a greater mastery of handwriting and the attempt at a new, clear, well-paced, personal style of handwriting. All lessons will be held in English.
Teachers: Monica Dengo, calligrapher Piero Lucchi, head of of the Correr Museum Library Monica Viero, curator of the Correr Museum Library
